Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badges, and help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. Use computer or tablet systems, respond to alarm-panel activity, and provide outstanding customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access points at a logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, recording visitor and contractor information, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Observe inbound and outbound vehicle, trailer, and personnel activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual activity or access concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, operational areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry.
