As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Support in Delray Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals and permitted belongings using assigned screening equipment and procedures; identify prohibited items or irregularities and notify appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry into controlled areas in accordance with established government facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
