About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Flex Retail Patrol in Irvine, California. The position provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, offering the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The listed schedule is Saturday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, and the pay rate is $22.50 per hour.

The role supports retail and neighborhood environments by providing customer service, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring activity, responding to concerns and incidents, and documenting observations. Candidates may be subject to background investigation and drug screening as conditions of employment, as permitted by law.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require candidates to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to drug screening as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, tenants, and retail guests by following site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, responding to emergencies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of neighborhood retail areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence that supports a positive shopping and community environment.
