About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients in an educational setting in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, responding professionally to emerging situations, and providing customer service and communication to students, staff, visitors, and families.

The position pays $20.65 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The officer will follow site-specific procedures and emergency response protocols, maintain accurate activity and incident records, and handle assigned equipment in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, and site procedures. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screening to the extent permitted by law.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• At least 5 years of security-related experience.
• An Armed Guard Card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Completion of a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by following site-specific procedures and supporting a welcoming educational environment.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site-specific protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and maintain accurate daily activity and incident documentation.
• Maintain required armed-post qualifications and handle assigned equipment according to Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site procedures.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
