About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer for patrol duties at a government corrections location in Raleigh, North Carolina. The officer will help safeguard staff and visitors by conducting vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and documenting activity. The position requires professional communication, sound judgment, and strong customer service. The schedule is Thursday through Saturday, 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM. Pay is $21.50 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals at the government corrections location by following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, perimeter points, access routes, and parking areas.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, vehicle, and personnel activity in accordance with post orders.
Respond professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Prepare accurate reports, maintain required logs, and communicate observations and incidents to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
