About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for an automotive manufacturing location in Canton, Ohio. The officer will safeguard clients, employees, visitors, and guests by conducting routine and random patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access, and responding professionally to security concerns. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and following site procedures and policies.

The position pays $16.94 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, Wednesday 12:00 AM–8:00 AM, Friday 12:00 AM–8:00 AM, Saturday 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, and Sunday 4:00 PM–12:00 AM. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver's license is required for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet state or local licensing requirements, if applicable; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at an automotive manufacturing location by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document observations as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, access points, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
• Monitor access by verifying authorized entry, observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and helping maintain orderly movement throughout the facility.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
