As a Security Officer Patrol in Mount Vernon, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including halls, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and help to confirm that only authorized individuals enter restricted areas, following visitor protocols and reporting concerns in line with site procedures.
  • Document routine activities, incidents, and/or unusual conditions, and assist with directing people during alarms, medical situations, and other security-related events.
