About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Boise, Idaho, you will help secure the site by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and supporting a safe environment for employees, visitors, and operations. The role includes providing customer service, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicating with site personnel. The position pays $17.50 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific security procedures and access-control policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and driver entry, and maintain required access records.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; notify site contacts or emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter, and report unusual conditions.
Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic, follow delivery and departure procedures, and document security-related activities according to site policies.
