About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol route coverage Security Officer in Manassas, Virginia, you will help safeguard clients at municipal facilities and surrounding grounds. You will conduct vehicle and foot patrols across assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to visitors and staff. The role supports a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay is $19.50 per hour. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position. A guard card or license is preferred.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while following site-specific procedures and carrying out security responsibilities at municipal facilities and surrounding grounds.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas.
• Document security-related incidents, patrol findings, and daily activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities and assist with directing visitors and personnel during evacuations, severe weather, and other site events.
