About The Position

The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer serves and safeguards clients across a range of industries and sites. The role provides hands-on security experience and exposure to varied work environments, with opportunities for growth and advancement. The position is based in Huntsville, Alabama, and pays $21.43 per hour. Employees work 30–40 hours per week on schedules that vary week to week, combining manager-assigned shifts with shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly; irregular shifts may be assigned with little to no advance notice to support client needs.

Requirements

• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be able to travel the required distance for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license if assigned to a driving position.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
