About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Mobile Patrol Driver in Gainesville, Florida. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. In addition to the fixed shift, officers may claim extra shifts through the scheduling platform. Hours can vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position pays $18.00 per hour and is scheduled Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service and security support at a retail site, conducts unarmed patrols, responds to incidents, and documents activity. The position requires a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent. A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, associates, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to store management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.
