About The Position

The Security Officer maintains a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property by monitoring and patrolling client premises. The role helps prevent unauthorized access, detect suspicious activity, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations, with a strong focus on safety, security, and customer service. Officers protect industrial and commercial properties against fire, vandalism, and illegal entry. Client sites include office buildings, residential properties, distilleries, financial institutions, telecommunications and manufacturing facilities, hospitals, and other locations. This is a part-time position in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, working Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Additional hours may be available from time to time if desired. Initial training supports employees in earning their Security Officer Certification.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 25 years of age.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Ability to pass a motor vehicle records check.
Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with security systems, cameras, and basic office technology, such as email and Microsoft Office.
Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods.
For posts involving operation of a company vehicle, applicants must be over 25 and have a screened motor vehicle record; accidents and violations are reviewed case by case.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service; experience is not required and training is provided.
Security Officer License, where applicable.
CPR/First Aid Certification.
