About The Position

As a part-time Front Desk Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Hickory, North Carolina, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and support security-related communications. You will provide customer service while helping maintain an organized, professional environment. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at a rate of $18.93 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations before employment, if applicable.
A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Nice To Haves

Experience with alarm panels.
Customer service experience.
Experience with access control and badge systems.
CPR certification.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures and reception protocols.
Monitor and control front-desk access by verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining accurate entry records.
Receive, screen, and direct visitors and deliveries, and handle incoming communications according to location requirements.
Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
Monitor front-desk activity and report unusual conditions, access concerns, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
