Security Officer - Part Time Reception

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a front desk information desk at a premier retail location in McLean, Virginia. The officer will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor activity through computer- or tablet-based systems, and provide customer service. A visible, professional presence will help deter security-related incidents and support a positive experience for guests and staff. The position is scheduled for daytime hours on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday and pays $25.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet clients, visitors, and vendors at a luxury retail location and maintain a professional, welcoming front-desk presence.
Verify identification, follow site-specific entry procedures, and direct guests to appropriate areas.
Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from the front desk, and report unusual activity according to site-specific policies.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, coordinating with management or emergency responders when appropriate.
Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Support security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
