About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Access Control in New Port Richey, Florida, you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. The role involves communicating professionally with employees and visitors, responding to incidents, and completing clear reports using computer or tablet systems. The position is full time and pays $23.50 per hour. The stated schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control or badge experience.
Customer service experience.
A valid firearms permit.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills in incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access activity and report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with company and site procedures.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
