Security Officer Armed Access Control
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Armed Access Control in New Port Richey, Florida. The officer will safeguard clients at an aerospace-focused location by conducting armed patrols, monitoring access points, maintaining a visible presence, and helping deter security-related incidents. The role includes responding professionally to incidents and providing customer service to visitors and personnel. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $23.50 per hour. Employees can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
- Prepare clear reports and communicate observations, incidents, and response activities to appropriate personnel.
