About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Prince George, Virginia, to serve and safeguard clients at a food production and distribution location. The role involves unarmed patrols, access control, incident response, and customer service for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel. Officers work on-site Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.44 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Carry out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a food production and distribution location.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols through production, warehouse, parking, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
- Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and report concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Provide customer service and assistance to visitors and employees.
