About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Patrol Security Officer for a healthcare location in North Chicago, Illinois. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting routine and random patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and vendors. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with company policy.

The role involves following site-specific procedures and access-control requirements, monitoring visitor activity, documenting relevant information, and responding professionally to alarms, incidents, medical events, and other critical situations. The scheduled hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $19.80 per hour.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements, is required for this driving post.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity; verify credentials; and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and access-related documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site-specific protocols.
• Communicate observed hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Help deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior.
