About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Carson City, Nevada. The role involves monitoring access points and visitor activity, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and providing customer service to employees and visitors. Officers follow site-specific policies and procedures, respond to incidents, and document observations and unusual activity. The position pays $22.98 per hour and is scheduled Wednesday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout business areas and the perimeter.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific requirements to help deter unauthorized access.
Document observations, incidents, and unusual activity accurately and promptly for site management and Allied Universal leadership.
Communicate clearly with employees and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment.
