About The Position

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property at the assigned premises. The role monitors access points, conducts regular patrols, and responds to security incidents and emergencies. The officer ensures compliance with safety protocols and company policies, communicates with team members and external agencies as needed, and uses technology and physical vigilance to help prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security threats.

This is a full-time grave-shift position scheduled Sunday through Thursday, 2300–0730, at a commercial building. The position is listed at $27.95.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a security guard or in a related security role.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems and wireless communication technology.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and repetitive motions required for patrol duties.
• Strong oral communication skills for interacting effectively with team members, visitors, and emergency personnel.

• Certification in security training or related professional development courses.
• Experience with advanced access control systems and surveillance technology.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Familiarity with local laws and regulations related to security and safety.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control facility access using access control systems and verify the identification of individuals entering the premises.
• Conduct routine property patrols, including climbing stairs and inspecting areas for suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Use wireless communication devices and radios to stay in contact with security team members and report incidents promptly.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, providing assistance and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
