About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for badge administration at a logistics and distribution location in Cranbury, New Jersey. The role supports a secure environment by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, responding to alarms and security concerns, and providing customer service and clear communication in support of daily operations. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $19.68 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records.
• Control access to warehouse, loading dock, office, and restricted areas in accordance with site procedures; help deter unauthorized entry and report access concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading areas; observe and report unusual activity, damaged access points, and other security-related concerns.
