About The Position

As a Security Officer Education Verified Patrol in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and/or supervisors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, public areas, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and staff entry as directed by site policies, and document security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Support a professional environment by giving directions, answering general questions, and communicating with the public and/or employees in a courteous manner.
