As a Security Officer - Housing Development, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access support activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying access permissions and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Support daily operations by preparing reports, maintaining logs, and assisting with security-related requests while following Allied Universal standards and location policies.
