About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed perimeter patrol Security Officer for a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Aurora, Illinois. The officer will safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, vendors, and the facility by patrolling assigned areas, supporting access control, responding to alarms and incidents, and providing professional customer service. The position pays $24.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued security license.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Access control and badge experience.
Alarm panel experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and reporting access-control irregularities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate with appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
Complete accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
