Security Officer - Special Response
About The Position
GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a casual Response Security Officer in Austin, Texas. The work varies by day and special event and may include customer service, patrols, or surveillance, so the officer must adapt quickly to changing assignments. The position has no guaranteed hours, but there is a strong possibility of 32–40 hours per week. Applicants must be available for all shifts—including mornings, days, and overnights—and all days of the week. The hourly wage is $19.00. GardaWorld provides a uniform at no cost and offers continuing education through GardaWorld Campus and career growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Be authorized to work in the United States.
- Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
- Pass an extensive screening process.
- Be able to think quickly and adapt to changing situations.
- Have responsive and strong problem-solving skills.
- Be at least 21 years old, as required by applicable law or contractual requirement.
Nice To Haves
- Security, military, or law enforcement experience.
- A Texas Security License, or the ability to obtain one.
- A valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the premises to ensure security.
- Conduct patrols to identify suspicious activity.
