As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming environment, and help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff, visitors, and first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, following site protocols for entry, restricted areas, and after-hours access while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in a clear and timely manner, and report issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management as appropriate.
