Requirements

  • Possess a current Armed Guard Card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A Baton Certification is preferred.
  • A CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, visitor access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, patients, and/or vendors at designated entry points by checking identification, confirming access requirements, and directing individuals to the appropriate area.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and site procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with staff, guests, and/or local responders regarding entry procedures, restricted items, and other security-related concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter as assigned, noting conditions and reporting concerns according to site-specific guidelines.
