About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a designated retail site in Houston, Texas. The role provides a fixed weekly shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Hours can vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale back. The listed schedule is Sunday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Pay is $16.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and carries out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Duties include responding professionally to incidents, conducting unarmed patrols, reporting suspicious activity and site concerns, and maintaining accurate logs and incident reports.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, as required by Allied Universal driver policy for this driving position.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.
• Commitment to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to retail visitors, customers, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, perimeter, and other assigned areas.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site leadership or appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports according to company and site requirements.
