Security Officer Full Time Front Desk
About The Position
As a full-time Front Desk Security Officer in a healthcare location in Hainesport, New Jersey, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and guests by welcoming them, managing access, monitoring entry activity, and supporting a professional, reassuring environment. You will use strong communication and customer service skills to address security-related concerns and help deter incidents. The role contributes to Allied Universal’s teamwork, integrity, reliability, and people-first culture. The position pays $19.66 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Duties include providing a professional front-desk presence, verifying visitor credentials as required, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor records, answering questions, directing people to departments, monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents according to site procedures and emergency protocols.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements if required prior to employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming, professional front-desk presence for patients, visitors, staff, and vendors at a healthcare location.
- Monitor facility access, verify visitor credentials as required, issue visitor badges, and maintain visitor records according to site-specific policies.
- Answer questions, direct individuals to appropriate departments, and communicate site procedures.
- Monitor security-related systems, receive calls and reports, and promptly notify appropriate personnel about unusual activity or facility concerns.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following site-specific procedures and emergency response protocols.
