About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a technology location in Boise, Idaho. The officer will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence. The role serves employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel, supporting a secure environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity. Pay is $21.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
Control the entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and materials according to site procedures, escalating unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and notification procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
