About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer - Alarm Response Driver to serve and safeguard clients at a food and beverage production and distribution location in Yuma, Arizona. This primarily driving role involves unarmed patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to alarms and security concerns, and helping provide a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and vendors. The officer must operate a vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements and communicate professionally.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to the location and verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed by site procedures.
Maintain required visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders in accordance with established procedures.
Observe and report potential hazards, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity to Allied Universal leadership and designated site personnel.
Drive a vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
