About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol driver to serve and safeguard clients at a retail location in Columbus, Ohio. The officer conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, supports access control, and provides customer service. The role includes communicating professionally with customers and team members and helping maintain a welcoming environment. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $19.31 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required prior to employment, depending on applicable state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards; document observations and complete required reports.
Assist with access control, store opening and closing procedures, and direction of visitors and delivery personnel as assigned.
