About The Position

As a part-time unarmed patrol officer supporting a government location in Columbia, South Carolina, you will help safeguard clients through routine patrols, a visible security presence, and professional customer service and communication. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license. The posted pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Allied Universal offers access to additional shifts through its Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located is required for this driving position.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Any licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and applicable emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, entrances, and parking locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, maintain visitor and vehicle records, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and public-service responders when needed.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and incoming personnel.
