As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Authorization Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points; verify credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation; and maintain accurate access-control logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters through established communication protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel and emergency responders, documenting observations, incidents, and actions taken in required reports.
