As a Security Officer Entry Authorization Desk in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting site operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-control records.
  • Screen and direct visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures for a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
