As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Control in Jackson, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access activity, and report security-related concerns. You will maintain a professional presence that helps deter incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Have access control and badge experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel and vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as required.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and access-control documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
