As a Security Officer Medical Driver Patrol in Ft Walton Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors with exceptional service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken according to post guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas to help support authorized access, provide directions, and report maintenance, environmental, and/or security-related issues.
  • Communicate with hospital personnel, visitors, and/or first responders as needed to relay information, assist with routine inquiries, and support orderly operations during changing conditions.
