As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Salem, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. Requirements

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including buildings, parking areas, perimeter points, and other restricted utility-related areas as assigned.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized access to sensitive areas, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Support Allied Universal and site leadership with routine reporting, communication of unusual activity, and other assigned security-related duties based on location needs.
