Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will monitor entry points, verify badges and visitor access, respond to alarm panel activity, conduct routine patrols, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Help maintain a secure environment while supporting loss prevention efforts through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the distribution location by verifying credentials, processing visitor and contractor entries, and maintaining accurate access records.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, coordinate gate access for shipments and deliveries, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
