About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer to support a public transportation location in Tacoma, Washington. The role safeguards passengers, visitors, staff, and facilities through routine patrols, a visible security presence, customer service, and emergency response. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver's license. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $28.50 per hour.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver's license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Baton certification.
• Handcuffing certification.
• CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while following security procedures and site-specific policies and taking part in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, adjacent grounds, and facility perimeters; identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following post orders and notification procedures.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas; document observations and incidents; report maintenance concerns and potential hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Direct visitors and passengers, provide information, and support a professional, welcoming environment.
