Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following post instructions, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor customer and visitor activity, observe for unusual behavior, and report policy violations, hazards, and maintenance-related issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Support access control practices at designated locations by verifying authorized entry, assisting with directional guidance, and helping with crowd flow during busy business periods and/or special events.
