About The Position
St. Mark Village is hiring a PRN (on-call) Security Officer in Palm Harbor, Florida. The role helps protect residents, staff, visitors, and property by patrolling the community, monitoring for security and safety concerns, responding to emergencies, and maintaining accurate records. The position also assists with general maintenance as needed. Daytime availability is required, with shifts picked up as needed. The role is in person and pays $16.00–$16.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Florida security license.
- Two years of security, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Obtain CPR/AED certification within six months of hire.
- Pass a drug screening and produce a negative drug test.
- Be at least 21 years old.
Nice To Haves
- EMR certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor for fire, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry.
- Patrol the community to help keep residents, staff, visitors, and property safe.
- Respond promptly to 911 calls and emergencies, direct emergency personnel, and assist with crowd control as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and security documentation.
- Assist with general maintenance as needed, including minor plumbing, electrical work, painting, and grounds upkeep.
