About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Allentown, Pennsylvania, you will help safeguard clients and create a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, provide customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to site needs while reflecting Allied Universal’s stated values. The posted schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay is $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and maintain records according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Assist with access control, directions, and general visitor support while maintaining a professional presence.
