This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and maintain required access records for people, vehicles and shipments.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to site protocol.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the perimeter, gates, parking areas, loading docks and common areas, as assigned.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity by observing site operations, reporting unusual conditions, and communicating clearly with supervisors, employees and local responders when needed.
