Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support site protocols through visible presence and strong communication. You will conduct routine patrols, assist with customer service, and help to deter incidents while working as part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and/or visitor processing at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report unusual activity or unauthorized access attempts to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders, emergency response protocols, and site-specific security-related procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, controlled access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting conditions that could impact operations or require follow-up.
  • Support vehicle and personnel screening activities as directed, help to deter unauthorized entry, and document daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance or access-related concerns in required reports.
