About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Monitor in Cowpens, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a welcoming environment for guests, associates, and vendors. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine observations, and help discourage security-related incidents through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, monitoring entry and exit activity, and supporting authorized access at the location.
Help to control access for employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by verifying credentials, following post orders, and documenting arrivals and departures as needed.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, stock areas, exterior entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
Support retail loss prevention efforts by observing customer and employee activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and completing accurate logs and incident documentation.
