Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations
• Possess a valid driver’s license if the position requires driving

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred
• Alarm panel experience is preferred
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities across the campus environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, students, visitors, and local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, administrative areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help support authorized entry, visitor direction, and adherence to location rules and expectations.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or maintenance or security-related concerns, and report them promptly to site leadership according to Allied Universal procedures.
