As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Support in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a food and beverage location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, perimeter areas, loading and receiving locations, parking areas, and employee access points.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity; report unusual conditions, damaged property, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.
