About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Support in Getzville, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. Using computers or tablets as needed, you will support a caring environment while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, members, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare-related location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with onsite personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, hazards, and other security-related concerns.
