About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer at a government aviation location in Orlando, Florida. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, employees, and travelers. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and professional responses to security concerns. The position pays $18.47 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM and Sunday from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Employees may use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to airport visitors, passengers, tenants, and staff while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, access points, roadways, and perimeter locations.
Report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally; notify appropriate personnel and follow established response protocols.
Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and help deter unauthorized entry or prohibited activities.
Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
